Greene County, Iowa
Raccoon River Valley Trail

Recently we did a project working in Greene County, Iowa for the Greene County Conservation Department. We admit it was pretty cool to be working along the Racoon River Valley Trail for this project. Some of the places where you can see our work is in Cooper, Winkleman Switch, and the Depot in Jefferson.

Greene County Conservation currently manages 19 areas encompassing some 1,549 acres. Also, you can find the second oldest county park in the state at Squirrel Hollow - built by Civil Works Administration crews in 1934.
